Naturopathy

What Is Naturopathy?
Are you sick of being sick? Have you been disappointed with the outcome achieved from mainstream medical treatment? Are you looking for a way to achieve and maintain good health? Do you want to be drug free?
If you answered yes to the above questions, naturopathy may be the solution you are looking for.
Naturopathic philosophy believes in the self healing power of the body. The aim of the naturopath is to facilitate healing through the use of natural products such as herbs and nutrition whilst addressing the underlying causes of ill health. The Naturopathic consultation will vary from one practitioner to another, depending on their background and areas of interest.
Vivienne’s experience in working with both allopathic and natural medicine provides her with a thorough understanding of the client's past health history and current condition. Assessment utilizes the techniques used by both mainstream and complementary medicine. This subsequently provides the groundwork and information that produces well balanced and accurate findings, on which to base treatment.
The Standard Consultation
The Initial Consultation generally takes 1 to 1 ½ hours. During this time, standard tests such as Blood Pressure, Tongue, Pulse & nail analysis, iridology, Zinc Tally Test, urinalysis, and “hands on” examination, will be performed. Your symptoms or health/wellness issues are addressed. Specific protocols and nutritional guidelines are provided. Other specific tests (such as Cellular Health Analysis) may also be recommended.
The Initial Consultation addresses acute issues and aims to improve the client's condition and make them feel better, as quickly as possible.
Follow Up Consultation
This shorter consultation, is needed to address the underlying issues related to the specific health problem. This time is used to determine if products need to be changed, doses adjusted or to commence treatment of secondary issues related to ill health.
Maintenance Consultation
This consultation takes place once problem health issues are dealt with. The aim is to provide the guidelines and nutritional products that will prevent re-occurrence of ill health and maintain wellbeing.
